COACHING CERTIFICATION
CERTIFICATIONS BELOW ARE THROUGH USA LACROSSE STARTING JAN 1st, 2024.
This system will collect certifications for:
Background Check
Abuse Prevention
Cardiac Care
Concussion
Cultural Competency
Annual Rules Test
-All coaches must be at least Bronze level certified through USA Lacrosse. (Current Level 1 coaches will transition to Silver, Level 2 to Gold and Level 3 to Platinum).

Program admins can manage these certifications for coaches using their own Program Leader Portal (aka Roster Management tool). Portal information (instructions + vids) can be found on this page:

Each program will be responsible for verifying to MHSLA that all coaches are certified as well as providing a COMPLIANCE FILE with the following:
Compliance file must include:
1. Cover Page – checklist
2. Proof of Program Liability
3. Proof of Program Code of Conduct
4. Proof that 1 COACH for girl’s and boy’s teams is CPR AND First Aid Certified (BOTH)
5. Acceptance of MHSLA Code of Conduct and Rules Handbook by all coaches
